Shield Lyre is an original lyre in the style of Kravik Lyra, inspired by Scandinavian mythology and the image of the mythical shield. The instrument is decorated with an engraving on the upper deck with a detailed image and features an expressive silhouette rooted in the aesthetics of the Viking age. The case is made of pine, the upper deck is made of birch, and the stand and string holder are made of maple. This combination of materials provides a clear, focused sound with a warm and balanced timbre. The seven-stringed construction with the ACDEFGa structure makes the lyre an intuitive and expressive instrument for solo performance, ritual music, storytelling and historical reconstruction.
